If you have questions about unemployment insurance or need help with your claim, a member of Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency staff will be present to help.
This community response event is part of the UIA Community Connect Program which strives to expand unemployment services by cultivating partnerships with community organizations (like the library!) to identify and break down barriers to access. A member of Michigan UIA staff will be present on the afternoon on January 24th to answer your questions about unemployment insurance and about the claim process.
For a speedy process, be sure to bring a Michigan driver's license or State of Michigan identification card along with a social security card, birth certificate, or U.S. passport. You can visit their website to learn a little more about the UIA Community Connect program.
All participants are welcome. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Sara at sweyenberg@portagelibrary.info or (269) 585-8710 in advance of your visit.
