STEM Librarian Jane Fleming will demonstrate how to use Canva to make a personalized graphic for a coffee mug, then show you how to print out the design and create your mug.
Registration Required
January is the perfect time to make a new mug for your hot beverage of choice to drink during this cold winter month. In this class, you will use Canva software to create the design for your mug. You will then print out your design on our sublimation printer, and finally use our mug press to create your finished product.
Most mugs will be able to be made during the class, but there is a possibility that some might need to be made afterward and you can then pick it up when it is ready.
If you have images that you would like on your mug, please bring them along with you on a flashdrive. Images need to be PNG or JPEG. You can also access images here at the library.
In order to make sure that as many people as possible enjoy the programs in our Makerspace, we are setting a limit of one program per month per registrant for Makerspace programs.
This program will be offered 3 times during the month of January:
Monday, January 13 at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, January 16 at 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday, January 21 at 6:30 p.m.
Learn more about our sublimation printer on our website: https://www.portagelibrary.info/creation-station/sublimation-printing/
Attendee slots are limited due to space and equipment limitations. If you register and are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as soon as possible to allow other patrons a chance to sign up. Please do not sign up for duplicate programs. If you do sign up for duplicate programs, you will be contacted and asked to choose one.
If registration fills up and you are not able to attend one of these sessions, the Makerspace has Staffed Hours almost every day where a trained Makerspace staff person can help you with projects such as this one or other projects you might have. Please visit our website for our Staffed Hours. https://www.portagelibrary.info/creation-station/
All participants are welcome. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Jane Fleming at jfleming@portagelibrary.info in advance of your visit.
