STEM Librarian Jane Fleming will teach you how to use the Cookiecad website to create a cookie cutter from your own design.
Registration Required
In order to make sure that as many people as possible enjoy the programs in our Makerspace, we are setting a limit of one program per month per registrant for Makerspace programs.
Cookiecad Designer is a web-based tool that can convert an image or drawing into a 3D model that can be 3D printed. With it, you can create cookie cutters, stamps, multi-cutters, and even stencils.
In this session you will learn how to use cookiecad.com to create custom cookie cutters. Cookiecad allows you to create 3D models from just an image. You can even make a doodle on a piece of paper and turn it into a cookie cutter. Just be sure it is a closed figure.
Patrons will be contacted ahead of time with information about the type of designs that are most successful and how to submit your designs. You will have to create a free account in Cookiecad to participate in this program.
This is a design program only. You will learn how to use Cookiecad to design your cookie, but your cookie cutter will need to be printed after the class to be picked up at a later date. You will be able to choose the color of your cookie cutter. All cookie cutters will be coated with a food-safe sealant before being picked up.
